Scrabulary Word of the Day #908 04/14/26 "TIPPLES"

 TIPPLES = TIPS + TOPPLES

It just so happens that today's word has a dictionary definition; however, it was spoken as a combination of two words thereby being a bona fide Scrabulary word.  Here is how it was used as groceries were being loaded in the car.

"The grocery bags need to be side-by-side on the seat. If one is in front and the other behind, the front one tipples over when hitting the brakes."

No sudden stops, please.😉

Scrabulary Word of the Day #907 4/13/26 "GROSSOME"

GROSSOME = GROSS + GRUESOME

My grandson keeps me informed of the newest Scrabulary Word he hears his dad utter.  Today's word is "grossome".

I was not given the context in which this word was spoken. It is left to my imagination what that context might have been.😂

I told my grandson to tell his dad that I think he is great at Scrabulary.  My son-in-law said: "It comes naturally".🏆👏

Scrabulary Word of the Day #906 10/12/25 "WAINY"

 WAINY = WET + RAINY

On a particularly rainy day, my grandson came over to have breakfast. When he came in the door, he said:

"Hey Memes! I have a Scrabulary word for you!  Before I walked over here, my dad said:

'Be careful, it's wainy out there.'"

I am blessed to be able to see my grandson every day.💖

Scrabulary Word of the Day #905 09/06/25 "MENTICAL"

MENTICAL = MENTAL + PHYSICAL

After battling illness, a busy social schedule and prepping my grandson's new homeschool curriculum, my daughter said:

"I am experiencing mentical exhaustion."

Sometimes, a busy life can take it out of you. Time to rest and recuperate. 😛

Scrabulary Word of the Day #904 07/18/25 "BALLIRD"

 BALLIRD = BALLOON + BIRD

My grandson and I were playing our usual video game.  Our gaming characters entered the dark world of a dragon.  The dragon was soaring above our heads and my grandson exclaimed:

"Is it a plane? Is it a ballird?"

It was scary!! 😨

Scrabulary Word of the Day #903 05/31/25 "LEAR"

LEAR = LISTEN + HEAR

My grandson texted to me today's Scrabulary word that he said was spoken by his dad.  He didn't specifically state the circumstances that brought about the statement in which this word appears; however, I can speculate as to a few.😆
His dad said:

"Why didn't you lear me?!"

Whatever the circumstances, I am glad he recognized the Scrabulary word and shared it with me. 💕

Scrabulary Word of the Day #902 05/03/25 "GLEAR"

 GLEAR = GOOD AND CLEAR

Before returning home from a trip, my daughter and son-in-law make a thorough check of their hotel room. My daughter explained:

"We always check to make sure the hotel room is glear before we leave."

Leave no one and nothing behind. 😄
