Scrabulary Word of the Day #912 05/15/26 "PARTION"

 PARTION = PART + PORTION

My husband was interested in watching a professional sports' final games. He was only planning on watching the last half of one of the games and said:

"I only wanted to watch the last partion of that game."

Ultimately, it's whether you win or lose, not how you play the game. 😉

Scrabulary Word of the Day #911 05/07/26 "LACENTLY"

 LACENTLY = LATELY + RECENTLY

My daughter has a cat named Chanty.  She mentioned that Chanty had become particularly clingy but was not sure why and said:

"Chanty has sure been clingy lacently."

Moody little creatures. 😼

Scrabulary Word of the Day #910 05/06/26 "HURLED OF WERT"

 HURLED OF WERT = WORLD OF HURT

My husband Scrabularized a phrase.  We had an extensive project to complete.  He started reading aloud a list of "to dos" and said:

"It's a good thing I wrote all this down or I'd be in a hurled of wert."

Project successfully completed! 👏

Scrabulary Word of the Day #909 04/16/26 "BECOOTIES"

BECOOTIES = BEJEEBIES + COOTIES

While watching a sci-fi movie, the main character was running for her life from an onslaught of spider-like aliens which prompted me to say:

Yikes! Those creatures are scaring the becooties out of her!

Scary, creepy crawlers!😬

Scrabulary Word of the Day #908 04/14/26 "TIPPLES"

 TIPPLES = TIPS + TOPPLES

It just so happens that today's word has a dictionary definition; however, it was spoken as a combination of two words thereby being a bona fide Scrabulary word.  Here is how it was used as groceries were being loaded in the car.

"The grocery bags need to be side-by-side on the seat. If one is in front and the other behind, the front one tipples over when hitting the brakes."

No sudden stops, please.😉

Scrabulary Word of the Day #907 4/13/26 "GROSSOME"

GROSSOME = GROSS + GRUESOME

My grandson keeps me informed of the newest Scrabulary Word he hears his dad utter.  Today's word is "grossome".

I was not given the context in which this word was spoken. It is left to my imagination what that context might have been.😂

I told my grandson to tell his dad that I think he is great at Scrabulary.  My son-in-law said: "It comes naturally".🏆👏

Scrabulary Word of the Day #906 10/12/25 "WAINY"

 WAINY = WET + RAINY

On a particularly rainy day, my grandson came over to have breakfast. When he came in the door, he said:

"Hey Memes! I have a Scrabulary word for you!  Before I walked over here, my dad said:

'Be careful, it's wainy out there.'"

I am blessed to be able to see my grandson every day.💖
