Beetie was sharing with me the amounts of money professional football players make and hearing the amounts I said:

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 01-30-16 "PURTS"

PURTS = PURSES + TOTES

I was tending my daughter's booth at a craft fair while she stepped away for a few moments.  She sells Thirty-One products.  A person stepped into the booth wondering what products were available. I started the conversation saying:

"There are organizational items, purts...."

My daughter returned and with her expertise, closed a sale.

SCRACHED = SCRAPED + SCRATCHED

While Swunnie was playing at the park, he was rubbing his leg.  I took a look and said:

"Aw, you scrached your leg!"

Yet, he didn't complain,

FRAMESET = FRAME OF MIND + MINDSET

Discussing a public opinion with another and seeing the various ways of looking at it, I commented:

"I guess it depends on your frameset."

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 01-23-16 "KOOY"

KOOY = OKAY + COOL

Swuvie was driving us to pick up a new toilet from Home Depot. We needed her van since our Honda Civic isn't quite big enough.  

Swuvie asked:  "Which Home Depot are we going to?"  I responded:  "The one on Powers."  Swuvie said:  "Kooy". 

Had a Home Depot subcontractor put in the toilet.  Took him about 20 minutes.  Excellent service. Great working toilet!!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 01-22-16 "QUICKLER"

QUICKLER = QUICKLY + FASTER

My co-worker was commenting that we had a lot of customers today and I replied:

"Yes and that is good because it makes the day go quickler."

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 01-17-16 "SHLEANS"

SHLEANS = SHOWS + CLEANS

Swuvie had put some stones in a tumbler for about a week.  She showed me the way they looked before going into the tumbler and how beautiful they turned out.  I was delighted to see the vivid detail in one stone in particular and said:

"I'm really amazed to see how bright it shleans up."

Nature's beauty revealed,
