Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-29 "NARF"

NARF = NEPTUNE + BARF


Some discussion was being had about Neptune when my poor pregnancy-nauseous Swuvie said:

"Can we stop talking about narf now?"

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-28 "HOSE"

HOSE = HOME + HOUSE


While contemplating an eventual move, I pointed out a residence with a "For Sale" sign in front and said:

"That looks like a nice hose to own."

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-27 "FITCH HASHERY"

FITCH HASHERY = FISH HATCHERY


Approaching a sign on the roadway, I asked my fly-fisherman husband:

"Do you want to stop and see the fitch hashery?"

HOOTCH = HOOK + HITCH


Beetie and I had stopped for lunch and I took the refill of my drink to the car.  We got in and Beetie was waiting for me to get settled when I said:

"I gotta set this down so I can hootch my seatbelt."

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-25 "CURN"

CURN = CURVE + TURN


Approaching a turn along the roadway between Sedona and Oak Canyon I said to Beetie:

"The speed limit is 30 miles per hour on this curn."

I don't think Beetie appreciates my backseat driving skills,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-24 "ZERVE"

ZERVE = ZOO + PRESERVE


Today's plus the next three days' Scrabulary words were spoken during a vacation to Sedona, Arizona.  Beetie and I were traveling past a tourist spot in Cottonwood en route to Sedona.  I was looking at a brochure and said:

"Is this Out of Africa a zerve?"

We decided not to stop,

THROSS = THREAD + FLOSS


While preparing to start a stitchery project, I discovered my local Walmart had a large selection of supplies and I said to Swuvie:


"Look! They have a huge selection of embroidery thross."
